The Lacer Evolution was first introduced to the Japanese car market in 1992 as the Lancer Evolution GSR. The cars came equipped with a 4 cylinder turbo engine and an all wheel drive drivtrain making them a formitable tuner car. But sadly the Lancer Evolution didnt make it to the states until 2003 in the form of the Lancer Evolution 8. This car comes stock with the 4G63 four cylinder turbo engine which cranks out 271 horsepower at 19 psi and it still has the all wheel drive drivetrain. These cars are mostly know for rallying due to their all wheel drive capabilty but they have been recently seen being used for time attack due to their ease of handling. This car is a great handler but the stock turbo has a great amount of lag to it and the factory exhaust is very restrictive. Also a point to be adressed in tuning this car would be that Evos are know for having poor handling if lowered to much so if you buy aftermarket coilovers make shure to not go to low on them or you will defeat the purpose of this monster.







TEIN Flex Coilovers



These coilovers are great if your on a budget. With 16 levels of adjustability and being EDFC compatible you can't go wrong. This kit also includes upper pillow ball mounts, and as an added bonus the coilovers are teflon coated to prevent rust.

HKS Adjustable Cam Gears


This cam gears allow you to make slight adjustments to the timing of your camshafts. This allows you to adjust the powerband to optimal RPM for the type of racing you will be putting your car in. Retard or advance timing in increments of 0.2. The gears are machined out of aluminum to keep weight as low as possible and come in anodized purple.
